May 2021 - Nuggets - Professional Administrative Day RE/MAX Garden City

I remember when I was a kid and someone would say, my dad’s muscles are bigger than your dad’s and I would shake my head and quickly reply “no way, my dad’s muscles are way bigger”.

That is how we feel about our support staff here at RE/MAX Garden City. They may not have the biggest muscles, but hands down they are the best group of administrators by any local Real Estate office by far!

From the moment someone comes in our front door, whether it be a client or a Realtor, they are greeted with bright eyes and a sincere smile, and most importantly the immediate offering of assistance. At our RGC brokerage, we
like to consider ourselves as a “Concierge Service Centre” and each one of our employees fits the role.

On some days our front desk staff is overwhelmed with preparing offers, broker loading listings, booking appointments, numerous phone calls and so much more, yet they always respond with a kind voice and friendly smile. Our “back of the house” group quietly and super-efficiently ensure that lawyer’s letters are sent out on time, real estate transactions are looked over with a fine-tooth comb, make sure that no signature or pertinent information is missing – and, of course, pay the bills, pay all of us and keep the lights on. Our IT Director and Marketing Department keep us up to date with new technology in marketing tools, ie greenroom cameras, videography, iGUIDE photography, marketing feature sheets, just listed/sold cards and so much more…all created to suit each individual realtor’s needs in our office.

Over the years, Wayne Quirk, our Broker of Record/Owner, and his wife Debbie have gone over the top with our celebration of “Professional Administrators Day”, each year being a different theme featuring the culture of a country they had visited the year before. We have been adorned with sombreros, cowboy hats, masquerade masks, live music, authentic cuisine, and yes one year, they rented a mechanical bull. Oh, so much fun and such great memories.

This year again, we missed our elaborate celebration, but each support staff was given a beautiful bouquet of roses, or a delicious cookie bouquet with a note to remind them of how valuable they are and that their hard work, day in and day out, does not go unnoticed. Their contribution and dedication to our “family team of realtors” is tremendous.

Our celebration was not the same, but our wonderful support staff continues to be amazing and we are thankful to make the claim that they are by far, “the best support staff in the region”.
