There are a lot of formal planned events that take place at RE/MAX Garden City over the course of the calendar year. Many of them social in nature like our Hackers Golf Tournament or our Fall Broker B.B.Q.. And there are of course scheduled training events often held in our training centre in St. Catharines while others are done one on one with various service providers within our company. Providers like our marketing department, our social media department, our IT department, and so on.
One of the things agents comment on when they first joint our firm is how helpful they find everyone to be. And this help comes not just in formal training, but also in the fact that the agents here are quick to step in and offer advice and guidance to any of their fellow agents 
who reach out to them. And one example of this is an informal meeting held each Tuesday in the training centre entitled ‘Market Talk’.
It's really a brainstorming session each week in which the attendees throw out real life scenarios they are dealing with. Market issues. Interest rate challenges. Best practices they have found to be effective. And a whole lot more. The facilitator is David Quirk. He isn’t there to offer training specifically, but rather to moderate and keep the conversations going.
The sessions last about an hour each week and while there is a core group who are there pretty faithfully week after week, others will drop by intermittently as their schedules allow. The group is comprised of a wide array of talents and experience ranging from the newly licensed to the very accomplished veterans. All there to share, to provide input and to learn.
I think everyone would have to agree that the real estate market is challenging right now. But the agents here at RE/MAX G.C. recognize that there is a tremendous source of support right here in the persons of their fellow agents. And they are always more than willing to reach out, share, and support one another. Market Talk is one excellent example and opportunity.
